Mucho Macho Man = Story of The Year
Mucho Macho Man or M3 has slowly krept in hearts of many american racing fans with his unusual and courageous story. M3 was born with out and pulse and nearly pronounced dead when he was born. He miraculously awoke and ran off as his stable hands were in a prayer circle around him. Ever since then Mucho Macho man has does nothing but impressed his owners and trainers as he looms to be a legitimate derby contender. In his last race he lost one of his shoes at the start and still managed to finish third against stiff competition. Leaving that race with a sore foot, doubt krept in about missing the derby. However M3 again surprised his connections again by firing a huge 5 furlong work in an eye popping .58 sec. All doubts have been thrown aside as this horse looks to be in a possion to put himself in the history books by winning the kentucky Derby. I actually had the chance to meet M3 last summer and Saratoga as mr Reeves "owner" should me his stable, as he was playfully hitting his ball back in forth.. I personally will be routing and betting on mucho macho man come May 7 and love his chances in the run for the roses..

Comma to the Top back in consideration for Kentucky Derby
ARCADIA, Calif. – Comma to the Top, a close second to Midnight Interlude in Saturday’s Santa Anita Derby, may run in the Kentucky Derby on May 7 after all.
Last week, trainer Peter Miller said it was unlikely that Comma to the Top, a three-time stakes winner, would run in the Kentucky Derby, citing concern over the race distance of 1 1/4 miles. But after Comma to the Top’s narrow loss by a head in the Santa Anita Derby over 1 1/8 miles and the surprise third-place finish by 2010 2-year-old champion Uncle Mo in the Wood Memorial Stakes at Aqueduct on Saturday, Miller said a start in the Kentucky Derby was possible.
“The way he ran and after Uncle Mo’s loss and everything else, I think we may need to re-evaluate and keep our options open,” Miller said. “I’ll discuss it with the owners.

The other Baffert horse
ARCADIA, Calif. - The road to the Kentucky Derby, which took several unforeseen detours on Saturday, had one final surprising turn at Santa Anita when Midnight Interlude, who was coming off a victory against maidens, outran eight other rivals to capture the Grade 1, $1 million Santa Anita Derby and earn a trip four weeks hence to Churchill Downs.
Midnight Interlude ($29.80) got up in the final stride to nail Comma to the Top, who led every step but the one that mattered most, and prevail by a head. Mr. Commons, who loomed dangerously along the rail at the top of the stretch, finished third, another 2 1/4 lengths behind.

win place SHOW !! me your t?#?$s!!
Another good free contest to keep an eyeball out for is the show-visors contests that seem to be popping up all over the place. This contest is easy and it's free. You simply pick a horse to be in the money (1st-2nd-3rd) and the last person to be live over the course of the meet wins the pot!! ( $2,500,- $5,000) So far we have seen santa anitia, hawthorne race course websites host these pools...Im sure other tracks will follow suit as they try and promote their own meets..

The only time we played him was the 2009 Holy Bull when he was a surprise winner that paid $26.80. We like his name. He got injured and then was off the Derby trail in 09'. Never the same horse after that. Great name though.

I had a ANOTHER dream...
This is karma.....Sign up for the Kentucky Derby $100K Dream Bet Contest at http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/42364069. Last years rookie, Glen Fullerton who had the worst toupee known to man cashed a $900,000 ticket when Supersaver and Calvin held off a late closing Ice Box. He can afford a hair transplant now or at the very least a better rug for his dome.

I had a dream....
Whoever gets to race the first Saturday in May always play "your numbers". Set aside a few bucks and swing for the fences. Remember Mine That Bird at 50-1? A girl I worked with played the 8 horse to WIN that day for $5 bucks. Why you ask, because pink was her favorite color why else. She cashed a nice ticket and I never heard the end of it. A few weeks ago I had a dream The Derby results came in 4-8-10-2 while I was being chased by a gang of old ladies on scooter chairs. Was this a sign? Probably not, but I will definitely be setting aside some fun money and will be playing "my numbers" and "my dream numbers".
Swing for the fences plays:
4-6-7 EXB
3-5 EXB
5-7 EXB
4-8-10-2 EXB & Superfecta straight up

9. Premier Pegasus
10. Anthony's Cross

Shackleford Bombs his way into derby discussion
Dialed In stormed his way up late to snag the Florida Derby yesterday,, but couldn't help to notice the absolute game effort run that Shackleford put in to hold on for 2nd. Even in defeat Shackelford beat some pretty impressive horses. at 60-1 this colt seems to be peeking at the right time and is yet another horse to keep an eye on, come the first saturday in may..
